This is a great natural sweetener to substitute for sugar in recipes; however, I use it to naturally sweeten my protein drinks and it works great!Allulose is a rare sugar, is incredibly low in calories, improves insulin sensitivity, promotes fat loss and even enhances aerobic exercise performance as shown in studies as found on Pubmed. It's a rare sugar because it only exists in small quantities in plant foods like brown sugar, maple syrup, figs, raisins, and wheat. It is what is known as an epimer of fructose or sugars that differ with a singular asymmetric carbon atom like mannose. It increases glucose uptake from the liver and suppresses liver lipogenic enzyme activities. Allulose has also been found to ameliorate insulin resistance and glucose tolerance while reducing fat accumulation in humans by using 4 grams, twice a day or basically 2 Tsp per day (8.5 grams). The study (Han Y, 2018) found that using d-allulose resulted in the loss of abdominal and subcutaneous fat compared to a placebo group. Another added benefit for this product. This brand dissolves very quickly in liquid with no grit and I highly recommend it!

This has been a game changer for me. By purchasing this at a much lower price than the smaller containers (per once) I feel more likely to experiment and have started doing things like making keto ice cream and my own keto simple syrup in different flavors

I’ve been buying another brand that says it’s granular, but it’s more like powdered sugar.I like the granular texture of this one - it’s like regular sugar. It tastes like regular sugar to me, and allulose has other health benefits.

I was looking for a coffee sweetener and heard about Allulose. I use 2 tsp of sugar in my 10oz cup of coffee. The directions say use 1-1/3 tsp as sub for 1 tsp of sugar. So I added 3 tsp of Allulose. All I tasted was bitter coffee. I couldn’t taste any sweetness. I am hoping it’s the brand because I was really expecting to drop regular sugar. Maybe my tastebuds are off. Not sure how to rate it it. 4 except 1 for sweetness.

The best allulose. It looks like sugar, tastes like sugar, dissolves like sugar, behaves like sugar in recipes like in cakes, bakery in general, jam and meringue preparations. The price is reasonable for this 100% pure allulose. Not a single side-effect like you get with other brands.

Dont waste your money on this product. When I first got it I tasted a bit on my finger which was ok. But when added to coffee it mellowed out the bitterness of coffee but no sweetness was there. It has a hollow flavor. The instruction says 3 tsp of this equal to 2 tsp of sugar. Wrong. I am not sure if the dropped a zero. Maybe it was 30 tsp of Viva Doria Allulose Sweetener to 2 tsp of sugar. I hear other Allulose products are better than this, but I have not tried. I don't recommend the Viva Doria Allulose as a sweetener to anyone. This item does not qualify for return...
