I’ve only been using this product for a few days, but the first time I opened it I was overwhelmed by how strong the smell was and I still smell it every day when I put this on. I feel like I smell like maple syrup. Is this normal or did I get a bad batch?

I love how it feels on me. I don’t notice a smell so that’s good. Ever since I started using it people keep telling me I LOOK TAN! Cetaphil is a brand I've always trusted. I've never had any concerns when I chose a product. BUT this was awful. It smelled like it had gone rancid. It made me break out with huge pimples that didn't want to go away. I had only used it for a week. I threw it away and now my skin is healing. I hate not being able to trust one of my favorite brands.
