I actually use coconut oil for "oil pulling." I have had issues with my gums in the past and this has helped to make them healthier, so I do it every morning when I awaken by putting a spoonful in my mouth. I allow it to melt (which it does quickly) and then swish it around my mouth for 15 minutes. I dispose of it in the trash as the oil will clog sinks and toilets. This brand is great and seemed to be great value as well! My only concern is that it is less dense than the previous brands I purchased. That wouldn't matter, except that after getting into a portion of the top, I noticed a concavity below. I didn't check to see if the weight was accurate, but there is less in this jar than the previous one I ordered. The previous jar (different brand, same size and weight) lasted 4 months.

This product can be used for cooking for a leave in conditioner for your hair and for a face cream. When cooking with this product, you do not taste the coconut. When you use it on your hair, put it on wet or dry. Make your hair soft and it helps the frizziness. For your face if you have dry skin, this works great to soften your skin. Does not make you smell like a coconut tree. I use this every time I take a shower and wash my hair and after I wash my face in the morning.
