High quality
The manufacturer of this scope is clearly thinking of the hunter. It's well constructed and easy to mount. It hasn't been sited in yet but from my past purchases I know that it will be spot on!

Extremely accurate
My wife and I live on a couple of acres in a small subdivision in SW Florida. Late afternoons we enjoy watching the song birds come to our bird feeder, as well as the doves, squirrels, and rabbits who were attracted to the spillage. Then, out of nowhere one day we became inundated with a huge flock of starlings. Starlings are bullies and slobs and will simply trash the feed, they only like the heart of the melon so to speak. This was our dilemma.Solution: The Gamo 6110017154 Varmint Air Rifle .177 Cal break barrel air rifle. Though I am no longer a hunter, I do have latent skills from my days as a Marine combat veteran. I ordered the rifle but was not really satisfied with the scope that came with it.I ordered the UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings and the UTG Leapers MNT-PMTOWL-A Inc, and the Dovetail to Picatinn Adaptor Mount, Black, for mounting the scope, to fit on the Gamo rifle. What a combination. My hit rate went straight up and after dropping 30+ starlings they would immediately fly off the moment they saw me. Then one day as these birds were rousting for the evening I took out my final bird and the word went out. I haven't seen a starling since and that's been over a month ago. This UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot is extremely accurate and I have had no problem at all with the scope on the Gamo Varmint break barrel as it handles the double recoil extremely well. I haven't even had to re-sight the scope. I totally recommend this scope on a break barrel air rifle. Now, in the late afternoons my wife and I are able to sit outside and watch JUST the song birds. Thank you UTG.UPDATE : What has really woken up this UTG scope is the addition of the UTG Add-on Index Wheel for Side Wheel AO Scope, 60mm. What a difference in that the knob for your range adjustment on the scope is very hard to turn. By adding this wheel it has made adjustments for distance a breeze. I highly recommend this addition. Though the starlings hardly ever come by anymore we still have the occasional new ones in the area that don't recognize me right away. The wheel has made adjusting the scope so easy that I am now up to 43 KIA's, most of them from a distance up in the trees. There would be more but very few starlings stop by any more.UPDATE 2: Over time the blackbirds do come and go. I've had this scope now for 4 years this month (October 2023) and it has functioned perfectly, still running on my 1st sighting in. I'm buying another one shortly for my AK.By the way, I'm now up to 368 blackbirds. Though they rarely come by anymore, in the spring the babies don't recognize me, but they are fast learners.

MUCH Better than expected
I read consumer reviews religiously. The public opinion and customer service experiences of every day consumers will always far outweigh a company's advertisement to me (read: action speak louder than words). I am also usually a believer that you get what you pay for. This scope changed my mind.I wanted to spend real $ on glass. Like, Nightforce $. But I don't have Nightforce $. I decided to save up, but kept my eyes open for an "interim" scope. Fast forward 18 months. Still short of Nightforce $. Hadn't found anything that wowed me enough to buy without decimating my Nightforce fund. Then, my hand was forced. My boss, who has never hunted, wanted to go hunting, and I was the man to teach him. I needed a scope, and stat. Enter Amazon, Prime, and UTG. I was wary, but the reviews were decent, if not good. It had features I didn't need or necessarily want, but I didn't hate them. I pulled the trigger (pun intended) and 2 days later, it arrived, and testing began.First impressions: rings are rings. They attached to the scope, and the rail without issue. Add the right amount of torque, and they're solid. Shade was pre-installed, and moved quietly and freely when I told it to, stayed put when I didn't. Reticle was squared. Had more mil-dots than I was used to, but different isn't bad. Red/green/blue/purple etc. worked fine, but that's not why it was bought, so I didn't care. Lenses were MUCH clearer than expected. Got down to brass tax- opened the window, grabbed the scope and a range finder to test clarity at full zoom and the side parallax. It functioned just as advertised, and at 100 yards I could read smaller lettering (not like warning label small, but still impressive) on a spray paint can. But would it hold zero?At the range, I started at 50yds and worked out. The beginning was a bit rough because this scope zeroes differently than everything else I've used. I'm sure there's a technical term I don't know, but I'm used to moving the scope to the bullet (i.e. you shoot high right, you move the scope appropriately up and right, like you're trying to change where the scope is pointing), but this scope you move the bullet to the scope (i.e. still high right, you move the scope down and left, like you're trying to change the point of impact). Again, probably a technical term there, but hopefully you get the idea. Once zeroed at 50, I reset zero (which worked flawlessly) and went to work at 100. The scope zeroed fine, and reset zero again without issue. Dials turn with what I would call the proper amount of force and can be locked when they shouldn't move. They also give a satisfying noise as you pass clicks. Recoil was not and has not since been an issue.3 hunting trips (one of which was foggy), more than a half dozen truck trips on unpaved roads in a soft bag (read: thrown around a lot), a couple trips to the range, and a few hundred rounds later, and the scope is still zeroed. No issues with moisture or fogginess either. Boss was impressed with the scope and bought one too. Had a friend pick one up the other day after shooting. Neither of them have reported major issues to me.The scope does have two minor downsides, which is why only 4 stars. 1. Eye relief could be better. It isn't bad (pound for pound on dollar spent, it's actually pretty good) but it isn't high dollar scope good. 2. The rear flip cover tends to pop off when trying to flip the cover. Annoying, and could be lost, but not a deal breaker. In all, I'm happy enough to CONSIDER allocating my Nightforce fund to other big kid toys. We shall see. But buy with confidence. For the nominal cost, this is a solid investment.

Great bang for the buck
I've had several UTG/Leapers scopes over the years and while not top of the line, they have all served me well. In this case I went with the compact figuring it would be the ideal size for my new Notos PCP, I was right. To begin with, the included mounts are the perfect height for mounting this scope (with caps) on a flat upper. The eye relief is perfect with the rings straddling the loading port on the Notos.Turret clicks are nice and audible but the adjustment feels a bit mushy. That said, it zeroed easily and has not required further adjustment since. Magnification, ocular adjustment, and parallax (side focus) were very stiff out of the box but have loosened up nicely with use.I chose this scope over the comparable Bug Buster, expecting a brighter image due to the larger objective. The image is bright and clarity is as expected in this price range.
