Q: What is the diameter of the lid? Will it fit onto other pots?

9 and 1/4 inches. Doesn't fit on any of my other pans. It could, but the pan also has to be deep enough for the Stir Stick that is attached to the lid.

Q: OK to use on electric ranges?

I don't see why not... It's just a regular pot with a special lid that stirs the popcorn kernels. Might be a bit slower than a gas range and I would imagine you'd have to physically remove the popper from the stovetop as soon as the popping is done or risk burning the batch (as the temperature/heat source on electric ranges do not decrease as quickly as a gas range).
