One does not expect such passionate attraction outside of a Jane Austen novel, yet here we are—1,500 grams of MagSafe force strong enough to survive even a clumsy spill across the floor after three sherries and a minor disagreement with the dog.Now, the stand. Oh, the stand! Subtly nestled around the camera like a shy but charming butler, it flips out to display one’s screen at precisely the right angle for YouTube, Netflix, or judging others on Zoom. Fully adjustable, elegantly unobtrusive, and clearly designed by someone who understands the art of lounging in bed like royalty.Its build? Solid enough to withstand a fencing match with a rogue toddler, while maintaining its clear-as-crystal façade so your phone may remain as visible as your superiority. The zinc alloy hinge? Tested 3,000 times, apparently. I’ve not tested it personally that many times, but I did give it a firm wiggle and felt like the Queen of Engineering.And let us not forget the corner protection, which makes it look as though my device is wearing invisible elbow pads. Edited to correct a link below.I have no connection to ESR and paid for these items.This review covers two important things about this ESR case: The HaloLock magnet for MagSafe phones and the "CAMERA CONTROL" option you have to have for newer phones with that button. NOTE: Earlier versions of the case are unfortunately thrown together on this same Amazon page and may not have the Camera Control improvement. So be on guard for the right one.Right after this week's purchase of an iPhone 16, MacWorld recommended this case highly in a review a for the iPhone 16 Pro case, but as they said, it also covers the same qualities on this iPhone 16 (not Pro) version that I needed. The reason: THE CAMERA CONTROL BUTTON.My purchased ESR iPhone 16 case has the magnetic HaloLock system on the back so that it won't fall off of MagSafe charging stands and mounts with the case on the phone. That's a problem with phone cases that block the magnet strength because they don't have the additional MagSafe features.If your phone has the new camera control button, then the "CAMERA CONTROL," option is a MUST among all of these cases thrown together on this Amazon page. The Camera Control option in some of the cases is NEWER to accommodate that new button on the iPhone 16. If you have a phone with that, it's IMPORTANT for that button to work well through the case. Be careful when you're clicking all the options on this page. Carefully look for that Camera Control in the bold pop up description as you hover over it in the small images of choices of colors, etc. I almost messed up.I'm duplicating parts of this review with tweaks on two other ESR product pages all for their MagSafe items I bought at about the same time. I’m very satisfied, I bought this case because I had just bought an another clear case from “Miracase” that performed horribly.Its problem was that it came with a built in screen protector and it was basically useless since the case allowed for dirt/dust to get under it at AT ANY INSTANCE. The screen protector didn’t sit flush with the screen and you could see a strange pattern on it and that was so annoying.The magsafe circle on the back wasn’t even lined up right to have the apple logo centered if you care about that which I did.So I went to look for cases again and found this one and it even had a nice stand in the back and was on sale so I had to buy it!!I also bought from this brand some privacy screen protectors and this combo is very sweet!!This case is very slim but provides a nice grip and I look forward to having this case for a while!!STAY AWAY FROM Miracase magnetic clear buy THIS ONE FROM ESR.
