DellLatitude E7470 Business 14'' FHD Ultrabook i7-6600U 16GB DDR4 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro

I've been using various Dell latitudes continuously since 2003 and I have a lot of regard for them. My earlier laptops have survived umpteen trips abroad, being banged around all over the place, and undergo very heavy usage throughout the day for many years without breakdown or data loss.Coming to this purchase, for my specific needs, I was not willing to compromise on these: 14", 1920 res, anti glare, backlit keyboard, SSD, Win 10 Pro & ~75K price. Given these requirements, automatically few laptops make the cut, making the choice somewhat easy. So after comparing Dell, Lenovo, HP, Asus, I settled on this laptop. All the reviews I read (and saw on YT) were very encouraging.I was worried whether all the promised specs would be delivered, including India import / MRP sticker, correct warranty etc. I had quite a few discussions with the seller (deal expert) in this regard and I must say the seller was very responsive and helpful in this regard.After 4 days of use, here are my comments:1. Its 1470gms (weighted it myself). Its remarkably slim and light, and looks incredibly sleek compared to my earlier laptop (E5430)2. The earlier laptop used to keep churning away the HDD ever so often and everything would become seriously unresponsive. I'm happy to say I have not experienced that yet in this one. That was the prime reason for me to get an SSD this time.3. I needed a keyboard with very responsive keys, and certain key spacing which would allow me to type fast: the keyboard seems to meet my requirements4. The BIOS is fully featured with hundreds of settings to make any geek happy.5. Initially, I ran all the diagnostics and everything passed just fine. I ran memtest86 for a few hours, that was also just fine.6. Unlike consumer laptops, this one does not come with any bloatware. There is top notch Dell software installed: Dell command power, Dell command update and SupportAssist. SupportAssist is an extremely fine software, with a lot of functionality and resources. It immediately recognized my service tag and pulled all the warranty details from the Dell site. It found all the latest drivers and updated. One can look up every detail of every component in the laptop via this, run diagnostic tests, etc etc. It seamlessly links with the Dell website as well! I cannot recommend this enough.I'll increase the warranty by 2 years (its NBD onsite), and at some point buy another stick of RAM. Interestingly while the manual says max RAM = 16GB, the SupportAssist software says 32GB is supported.Bottomline: for this set of features, at this price point, one would be hard pressed to find a better laptop :-)

Doesn’t appear to have been inspected after it was returned. The description said it was cleaned and inspected. Ron Palacios is still signed in.

This review was mainly written because of the other reviews I saw. Especially the one guy that reviewed this laptop and said he was an "IT PRO". I am also an "IT PRO". Dell Latitudes are amongst the best laptops you can purchase - for home or business use. They are FAST - CHEAP - And come with an amazing warranty. NEXT DAY ON SITE SUPPORT!The one thing I can say that needs to be improved....is the factory image that comes with these laptops....install a fresh copy of windows...and enjoy one of the best laptops in the market.Seriously though for the price DELL LATITUDES are amazing!!!!

I am an IT Pro who should have been more concerned about the attractive pricing. Had this laptop for a little over a month, and the display died. I've worked with Dell Laptops since 1999, and never had this happen before. Very suspicious.

Got cheated. Supplied wrong laptop . I received Dell latitude 3480. Planning to put police complaint.
