Don’t call it a case.... Call it a bumper!
So I’ve always been an apple gang these last few months I’ve gotten two surfaces and I was quite surprised when I found out that there weren’t a whole lot of selections for cases in fact there’s really not much in the way of selection so it was important for me to be able to use the tape cover but I also have some kind of protection that was minimal and not to obtrusive or bulky because I carry them in my backpack. So when I came across this I what I would call a bumper I was a bit skeptical because it seemed a little more expensive than the others but there’s nothing more annoying than a case that unfolds until like three times the size and you have to deal with all the flaps everywhere if you know what I mean. So I ordered it I received it and again I’m still not calling it a case but it’s made it this far with me and I am pretty happy with it all and all the type cover fits in it nicely and it is incorporated into the bumper well they Spared no expense there.HOWEVER.....It came with a pen holder as I feel all cases for the surface should now I also have a surface Pro X with the same case and it’s pen holder is on the top of this case and it fits quite nicely into it you’ll notice in the pictures this pen holder is on the side. I should also note that on the surface Pro X version the only part of the pen holder that’s exposed is a small Section in the middle otherwise the pen is completely encased in the bumper so to speak This one they seem to do the opposite the whole pens exposed except for one little section that’s holding it now to top it off they tied a string to something that was supposed to go on the pen which then gave you about 6 feet of string to do it with I don’t know I guess you’re supposed to wrap it around the pen holder? So annoyed with that I cut the string off which is OK but now I have this huge knob sticking out On the left-hand side holding the pen which as you’re probably thinking gets knocked off of it pretty frequently coming in and out of the backpack I wish that would’ve been done differently otherwise don’t call it a case called a bumper

Love it but heavy
Heavy otherwise I would’ve gave five stars

Awesome case
The cutouts are perfect, it seemed a little weird installing due to how you have to settle the device in there, but ultimately it protects the screen and device overall very well, and the fit allows for all functions to be accessed. It looks professional quality as well, while adding very little weight. The hand strap on the back is a nice added feature as well.

Great looking case and effective too
The case fits my Surface Go 3 really snugly and has a nice appearance. I usually scoff at manufacturers' claims of their products meeting Mil-Std-XXX with no references to certifications, etc to back up the claims. However, I have taken my Surface Go 3 in its Blackbelt case to many wilderness locations over the last two plus years and accidentally dropped it during use on asphalt and packed dirt many times. I'm amazed that my device has not suffered any damage from the abuse. The case has really worked for me.

Overheated Surface Pro & Broke
This is touted as a case that won't overheat your SurfacePro, but I've been using it on my SurfacePro everyday for the last 2.5 months and when my SurfacePro is plugged in while I use it, it heats up in the case.I've begun taking it out of the case when I'm using it while it's plugged in, and the SurfacePro cools down, but the same corner broke on my cover as another customer said broke on their theirs. I thought it's because my SurfacePro fell off the small table I use it on at school (on a carpeted floor) last week, but now I wonder if it's because I've removed it a few times when it's overheating.I won't be purchasing it again as it didn't even last 3 months, let alone the 4 years I hoped it would last.

I was enjoying this for a while but there are some issues
One BIG issue with this unit is the bottom of the unit where the kickstand is. Many cases have this too where they don't cover the kickstand to give you the full designed mobility. The problem is that it gives you the greatest weakness of this stand and others..... the bezel that goes across the bottom. It's very thin. On mine, the thin plastic around the keyboard dock broke off so this will just pop out of the case more than it did before if it fell. Before, it wasn't very securely in the case at the bottom and you could easily push it out of the case without trying too hard.So a few weeks in, I now have to replace this very light case and get a new one that's fully enclosed. Sure, I'll lose out on the great kickstand, but then I won't have to worry about the screen cracking.... Too bad really, because this was a decent case. The bottom part of the case is the weak link of this whole case as it would be with others. That little bezel at the bottom center broke off and even if I glue it back together, it's still a weak breakpoint anyway.
