I received exactly what I was expecting and planned to use for embroidery. the quality is what you expect, not terribly thick and I imagine not that durable but good enough for beginners embroidery. Colours are varied and bright and they seem to be rough squares but about the right size. Only gripe is that it states 50 PCS, and I got 48 with 2 slithers of incomplete squares.

I rarely review my Amazon purchases, but wanted prospective buyers of this item to know that the 50 pieces of fabric are not the same fibre and weight. Most are on the lighter side, not the higher-quality quilting cotton I'm used to sewing with. A few pieces are so thin they are almost sheer. Others are heavier and have a brushed effect on one side. Some have a lovely sheen. Some pieces felt more like polyester or a cotton blend, not the 100% cotton the description states (but I am no expert on fabrics). The colours are as shown, and it's a good variety, but note that there is only one piece of each colour, so you are getting 50 different colours. For my purposes I would consider purchasing this again.
