I bought a pair of these shoes about 18 month ago and have been wearing them every day. They are comfortable right out of the box. So, I ordered another pair of the same model recently. On my fourth wearing of these shoes, I noticed that the velcro parts separated, and that the rigid velcro part is separating from the shoe strap. The strap is beginning to stretch as a result. Either Propet has changed their manufacturer in China or I just "lucked" upon a bad shoe. Either way, they are not going to last very long. The problem is, I was so confident in these shoes that I threw the boxes away after my first wear. I'm stuck. If you order these, LOOK THEM OVER CAREFULLY, and keep the packaging for a while.Update: Amazon replaced these shoes with another pair of the same. Upon receiving them, I looked the new ones over carefully. These shoes have the exact same issue. In fact, one of the straps had already separated without ever being used. So they also were returned immediately to Amazon. I also sent a note to Propet USA, but have not heard back from them.I recommend NOT purchasing this shoe.

I received this product on March 30, 2019. Unfortunately I did not wear them until sometime mid to late April. I have had several pairs of these Propet shoes and have always been satisfied. This time, however, the left shoe has an imperfection on the outside about 2 - 3 inches from the left small toe. There is something in the fabric that feels like a pebble or a nail. I thought that eventually I would get used to it. After a few weeks of pain in my foot, I knew that the shoe was defective and would never be comfortable enough to wear. I know its past the return date but I think that with my history with Propet and Amazon, I could get a replacement pair. Please let me know.Thank youJames Redmond

With limited mobility, and severe disability to my legs and feet I cannot wear standard shoes. I have been wearing the life walker strap shoes for over 5 years now, and they are the only shoe that I can wear in relative comfort. Their wide size, and padded interior allow me to walk for at least moderate to short distances, and stand for at least short periods of time. For me these shoes mean freedom from the constraints of an electric wheel chair. Thank you Propet.

I purchased this for my husband while we were visiting our son (blind ordered). I was hoping it would arrive fast and fit. Right, huh? Well . . not only did the shoes arrive as I expected, they fit! My husband loves them and has worn them pretty steadily for 1.5 years now. They have been wonderful! He has not complained of plantar fascitis, and that is amazing. I love these shoes and I'm buying another pair.

I have been wearing Propet for years as the only shoe that is really comfortable for me and have never had a need to contact the retailer Elite Hero.However, having recently purchased a pair of Propet Men's Life Walker Strap Sneakers, after a short time of wearing I noticed that this product was starting to fall apart at the stitching. Given this was clearly a manufacturers fault I assumed there would be no problem in having them rectify the situation. However, I was told that after you've had them more than 30 days, there is no warranty and the seller will do nothing to rectify the defect!!! This is even though they claim they will walk 1000 miles without problem!This in no way reflects on Amazon, as they have always served us well and am sure that they will join with me in wishing to post this review as an aid to all of their customers, when dealing with Elite Hero.

As a physician I know the importance of proper and roomy shoe fit. I llike these shoes very much for their lightness ,comfort and ease of use! Will order another pair but one half size shorter as I believe the run a little long compared to my others shoes of the same size . Addendum now after 6 months of daily use I would rate them 5 stars! Lucks great, feels great and shoes absolutely NO signs of wear or weathering despite multiple trip in rain, snow and salt water. Also recently added orthotics with no problem! Just ordered a second pair from Amazon as backups. Great product at a fair price. Wear them everyrwhere from black-tie to beach. Both thumbs up!

I was very nervous about ordering shoes on line, but I had searched and searched locally for good quality walking shoes with velcro straps, to no avail. I ordered these based on the reviews. Good choice. I love them. The toes are just a fraction wider than expected and the heels are just a fraction narrower than expected, resulting in a very comfortable but secure fit. They look good enough to pass as dress shoes if nobody inspects them too carefully. I'm almost afraid to wear them too much. I don't want to wear them out.Update #1: I'm tempted to raise my rating to 5 stars. Everything I said about them before, I still agree with. These are really good shoes for general walking.Update #2: I've worn these shoes for quite some time now, and I only like them better. The soles wear like iron, the uppers are solidly built, the fit is comfortable, even after putting them through many miles. These are my go-to shoes. I wear them for hiking, general walking around, working in my hobby shop and I even sneak them by as dress shoes. I really like the velcro fasteners-so much easier than tieing laces when you start getting a little old and stiff. So I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars.

The rigid velcro part is separating from the shoe strap. The strap is beginning to stretch and is not strong enough, getting weaker. These shoes are not as nice and sturdy as they use to be. Are you getting them from a legit seller? They are not the same quality that Propet use to make. I have gotten these shoes for my husband for many years. I hate to say it but I know the velcro strap is going to give on him. They were not worth the money.

Type 2 and have a few problems with my feet. Able to ware these all day without any problems. Not very warm in cold weather but apart from that very good. Have not tried enough alternatives to decide if they are good value. Quite light weight and not sure how long they will last.

Happy with these shoes. Hope to purchase another pair in the near future

I have been using Propet styled shoes for a few years now and always happy since the width, usually XX wide is a perfect fit for my size 13. This model, however, fits, but seems a little narrower and thus tighter. It is still a comfortable shoe but, I guess must be a different style than I was using in the past. I am still pleased with the shoe as it is dressy, well constructed and although I don't believe it has that all-day comfort I was previously used to in a different model of Propet, it was still a worthwhile transaction. I would likely buy shoes again in this manner, knowing the size chart works, etc. but I will pay more attention to the style and./or model.

I wanted something in between sport-running-shoes and full-fledged hiking boots. Was in the market for good, comfortable, presentable shoes which are likely to see many miles of walking over different terrains in various conditions. These appear to fit the bill exactly. After a good-enough period of testing, I can tell that I made the right choice in selecting these. Love the velcro straps!

Bought this pair of shoes for my father who was in the hospital for quite awhile...they fit him perfectly with no wear in time or problems of any kind. A perfect fit for him with the extra wide type.
