I've picked this mat as a pad for desktop PC case (standing on my wooden desk): 11 kg od plastic & metal with 9 fans inside. That's a lot of weight, noise and vibrations and the mat handled them all with ease.Mat is made from some sort of rubber, consisting of many tiny fragments glued/pressed in some way. It's rigid to the point that it's not too easy to cut it to size (thin & very sharp knife is a must) and at the same time it absorbs vibrations even from really heavy objects like full-sized home appliances (washing machine, tumble dryer and so on).So even though 5mm thickness may not be that convincing at the start, it really is enough to get those results. The vibrations are gone and the noise reduces instantly to the very minimum.And what are the downsides of this product? Only minor ones: due to its structure its not easy to get clean cuts on the edges. So they may end up a bit uneven/irregular, depending on the tool you will use. Also, on smoother surfaces (desks, tiled floors...) and lighter objects (<10kg) the mat may be a little slippery - but two sided tape deals with that perfectly.All considered, this product is really well made and delivers impressive results. It turned my computer from annoying junk to silent workstation and I have no doubt I will pick this mat for my future kitchen appliances. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic item. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work but it’s good. The house doesn’t shake as much as it did pre mat. My handyman found it hard to put under the washing machine and keep it on the mat as he pushed it back under the worktop and it took about half an hour to get it right but the item does the trick so I am pleased.

It was a bit hard to put it under a heavy washing machine. But they reduced the washing machine movement and slightly reduces the noise while it is on.

Exactly what we needed for the swimming pool pump, great job.

I have a dehumidifier in the bathroom which has a compressor that kicks in when it's in dehumidify mode. The bathroom floor is made of wood and the vibrations from the dehumidifier transfer into the floor, enough to sometimes make the light fitting cover on the kitchen ceiling below vibrate too. I figured that the vibrations were responsible for excess noise so i'd previously placed the dehumidifier variously on a small rubber mat like you find in car footwells as well as a small car footwell carpet. Unfortunately, despite my efforts it didn't solve the excess noise problem and i put up with it for over a year.So the issue is that it's all very noisy. Well, it used to be! I decided to investigate anti-vibrations pads and I came across this product. It's more pricey than some of the other products but based on others' reviews i thought i'd give this a try. I bought the 60cm x 60cm 10mm thick version and cut it up into 4 equal squares to match the dehumidifier footprint and then placed the dehumidifier on 2 of these squares to make the thickness equal 20mm. Bliss! I noticed an almost instant improvement in terms of noise reduction. I have two pieces left over that i'll give away to a friend with the same dehumidifier.The compressor still makes a noise but no longer transfers the vibrations into the floor boards. It's made such a difference that i had to go upstairs a few times on the first day to check that the dehumidifier was still on. I can now leave it on 24 hours a day without it being intrusive whereas before i had to switch it off at night because it was too noisy. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product - it's been a game changer and my only regret is not having bought it months ago before!

The product is made of a reasonably dense rubber crump and looks to be of recycled material, quite what it has been chopped and reformed from to make the sheet is anyone's guess. It's not solid black, but has coloured speckles throughout.I bought the 10mm sheet in an attempt to dampen the transference of vibration from a newly purchased washing machine to a wooden joist floor. 10mm was the maximum clearance I have under the worksurface. I wasn't expecting miracles, just to reduce the worst of the vibration.For the material to work it needs to absorb and distribute some of the energy of a 1400 rpm spin cycle; it doesn't, the rubber is too dense to do so. If your machine is walking over a slippery floor it would work, however, the add on to this is that once laid under a kitchen cabinet it is very, very difficult to get a machine in and out (a bit of shiny card on the feet or washing-up liquid may help with this).For what it is £25 is overpriced, £10-15 ok. For my purposes it was a complete waste of time and I ended up requesting a return.

The media could not be loaded. Am Anfang hatte ich bedenken dass die Matte nicht gut für meine Waschmaschine sein könnte, aber da hab ich mich geirrt ! Ich bin begeistert wie gut die Matte die Schwingungen beim Schleudern abfängt dadurch Wackelt die Waschmaschine natürlich ein wenig aber damit kann man leben weil der Lärm selber komplett weg ist und die Qualität der Matte ist auch Spitzenklasse! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💪
