The best sound bar. Bar none. (pun intended)
After installing my Bose 900 I had some weird problems. Got in touch with the Bose tech on Facebook messenger and they offered some various settings but really did not help the situation. I would cut on my LG TV and then turn on the speaker and it would cut the TV right back off again. Also, I have my XBOX connected to my TV and the sound was coming through just 2.0 and not 5.1 as it should. I would stream Amazon Video through my smart TV and not all the sound was 5.1 on that app as well. So neither I nor Bose could figure out what the problem was. My Bose is connected to my TV via e-arc HDMI so I should have been getting the maximum sound quality available. So as a last ditch effort I decided to change out the HDMI wire. I was using MONSTER CABLE since it's supposed to be a top of the line HDMI wire. Right? I exchanged that for the HDMI cable supplied with the Bose shipment. Viola! That was the problem all along. A faulty HDMI cable. Now it works as it should. Everything is 5.1 now. And I have the C.E.C set so that when I turn off the speaker it turns off the TV as well. This Bose sounds amazing. Depending on the source of the sound as in a movie or TV show it gives Dolby Atmos. I was pleasantly surprised when I was streaming the movie CLASH OF THE TITANS. I mean the surround sound was everywhere coming at me from both sides and even above my head. The scene where Perseus was walking through a cave and stuff started falling from the roof of the cave sounded like it was coming from my living room ceiling. LOL. So anyway I texted Bose again and told them I found the root of the problem and they were very happy for me and thanked me for telling them the solution to my problem. I had read other reviews on Amazon and they told of having similar problems so the answer just might be a faulty HDMI cable. Even though they may have a thick coating they have very fine wire inside and can still get damaged. Even though it's a bit pricey they are about two hundred dollars cheaper on Amazon which is why I ordered it.

Incredible nightmare
Since I bought this device in 2023 it has been a nightmare!It works sometimes and sometimes it does not work!!I had a nose teck help me set it up and it work then it stops!It disconnects from my TV!!!TV is a 85 inch samsung bought it about the same time I bought this bose speaker!The sound is great but it does not want to connect! I have tryed very port I checked the wire!Its driving me crazy I should have send it back when I first encountered the problem!!I disconnected the power on and off I disconnected the hdmi!I have spent almost all day trying to figure out this device!!How do I get my money back!!Well I have to say what ever was wrong with it!!BOSE FIXED IT WITH NO CHARGE!!I REGRET THE THING I SAID IT IS A EXCELLNT SPEAKER SYSTEMI WILL BUY AGAIN!!I PAAIRED IT TO MY TV WITH BLUETOOTH AND ITS AWSOME!

amazing sound .. but...
first time bose customer - long time home entertainment system user. setup was easy and straight forward - however - if you think you can connect everything with bluetooth and expect to work flawlessly you have another thing comingfirst - my tv is a sony brava 85 inch led smart tv- google tvsecond - i have this paired up with a bass module and surround speakersnow when i pair this up with bluetooth to the tv - the audio comes in and out constantly - i ultimtaely found out its some kind of issue with the the way the remote works with bluetooth which conflicts a lot of the soundi originally bought this unit and the other components because its bose and i could do it all wirelessly - in the end - now i have to have two remotes - and i had to connect the soundbar via optical to stop the bluetooth audio blanking out every so many minutesbose should have done a better job with integrations into current tv manufacturers to make sure this doesnt happenwhen i bluetooth to the bar via phone or laptop it also has the issue of audio cutting outeven worse - the audio is delayed bigly as they say -if you wind up getting this bar - heed my advise - connect via optical or maybe hdmi if that works for you - otherwise - expect audio cutting in and out no matter what you do
