Perfect for glasses wearers!
After trawling the review sites for a high quality monocular, this Opticron came out on top. It comes with a carry case and lanyard, as well as caps for the main objective and eyepiece. The main objective cap is attached to a rubber ring which slides over the end of the scope so it can hang down when removed for viewing. The eye piece cap comes staright off to go back in the case. The best thing for me is that the eyepiece is build for two modes, glasses wearers or not. Brilliant! The build quality is fantastic & the image quality is even better than I expected. The Opticron is now carried every time I go anywhere hiking or walking as opposed to my small Nikon binocs, as it can easily slide into my drinks holder on my walking bag! My only quibble is the metal ring attachment for the lanyard, as it's in a position where it may scratch the optical tube. Still, 5 Stars from me. You will not regret this purchase.

Optically brilliant, mechanically - room for improvement
Bought these after returning 3 other different brand monoculars to Amazon due to chromatic aberration/image brightness issues. My previous monocular was the Leica Monovid - the image quality of which I found slightly too dark. I WAS expecting to return these as well but...... I can't believe the image sharpness, brightness, clarity and colour rendition for something which cost me one tenth the price of my Leica Ultravid binoculars yet nearly, and I mean nearly, matches the image I obtain from the ultravids. Superficial build quality issues ( 2 minor scratches on the front lens retaining threads and thinning of rubber armour in places) but the optical quality and image clarity is rather stunning and far exceeds my (somewhat cynical) expectations. I shan't be returning these!

Super product
I've always ended up, with binoculars, using one eye anyway, otherwise whatever I was watching was gone by the time I got both eyes focused. In addition, due to a bad back, lugging a pair of binoculars was just too much, so I thought I'd give this a go.GREAT decision - I absolutely adore this monocular! It's weighty enough to convince you of the quality, as if the THIRTY YEAR warranty wasn't enough to convince you.Not too heavy to carry round in a pocket, plus there are two neck straps included.Focusing is a doddle.I've found that I need to take regular eye breaks, otherwise I start feeling the closed eye getting strained, but I guess that goes with the territory of monoculars, and isn't a big deal (I'm talking a couple of minutes every twenty minutes to avoid. This monocular also comes with a lens and eye piece cover, a cleaning cloth, and a good pouch with belt strap (pity there was no hook on the pouch for one of the neck straps, but I guess you can't have everything!).Finally, shop around. I bought off Amazon, only to find they are charging a significant amount MORE than the Opticron UK's RRP. Naughty Amazon!

Ease of use
This piece is quite expensive but the quality is first class. The focusing is very easy to operate and falls under the fingers quickly and easily and the 8 times magnification is ideal for viewing a steady image image, anything higher would need a tripod. The device is compact and easily transportable and it is easy to see where the £135 purchase has been spent. In short, a great piece of kit. Get one, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic
Being 8× and monocular, they are easy to hold steady, which is good, because there isn't a tripod mount. The image is super clear, with excellent colour and contrast.Take a chance with glasses, they are no good with mine. It all depends on the gaps between your eyes and the lenses.🤓
