Levi's Men's 517 Bootcut Jeans

Q: The last pair i bought of Hollister came apart at the seam between the 2 back pockets.. have you heard of this happening before?

I don't know anything about Hollister but I have been wearing Levi's since I was a kid and I've never had anything like that happen with a pair of Levi's. 517"s is about all I wear because I am a boot man. Black 517's are getting hard to find.

Q: Should i order jeans a little longer for wearing boots. i usually wear a 31x32. the 517 jeans shrink a bit correct? going to order the 32x34

No in the short answer. I have washed these jeans twice and they have not shrunk yet. I wear a 32X31 and I got a 32X32 thinking they would shrink. Now I have to get them altered. Go with what fits

Q: If I wear a 40x32, what size in this pant would I need to order?

The jeans can be ordered according to your size. I might add that this particular style, 517, the legs is same fit from inseam to hem. They aren't tapered at all. I would suggest a different style for anyone who likes their Jean's tapered at the ankles or those who need more room in their inseam because of thicker thighs or of an athletic build.

Q: do they have 7 belt loops

Actually, I have recently bought three pair of 29x34 and all had only five belt loops. All previous 517s in larger waist sizes from 2010 to 2020 have had seven belt loops.
