Best Blender on the market!
I buy so much on Amazon that leaving a review never really crosses my mind... Unless the product is so phenomenal or terrible that it's a civic duty to give my fellow amazoners the details!I once owned the original Nija blender when I lived with my mother. It was extremely heavy duty and expensive with all the "bells and whistle".I was SO EXCITED when I was browsing Amazon and found this Ninja Blender.I was even more shocked with its low cost and how simple it looked to use.I've had this bad boy for the past 2 months and have had no problems with it! I especially love that is also comes with small processor.I have gartroparesis (my stomach muscles have difficulty contracting I can easily choke on real food and if I'm lucky not to choke, I have to deal with the vomiting and pain after.) I depend heavily on blenders to be able obtain nutrition so I can avoid having a feeding tube again. If it wasn't for this amazing, state of the art, creatively designed, easy to use and clean blender I would of had to have a feeling tube a lone time ago.Had a long day of work? Busy with studying? Full time mom? Or maybe looking to buy a blender because.. It's a necessity?Just want to make a fresh dinner without all the elbow grease of chopping veggies!Wanna skip adding mascara and tears to the onions needed for your recipe? This blender has it all, BABY!It's the easiest blender to clean. TheBlades are removable and the electric "base" of the blender is actually on top of the blender. Making it easier to sites off of the counter. The Ninja, as stated earlier works as food processor. So there's a smaller attachment within the box!Over View of Pro's-The price to quality is outstanding!!-Best blender to crush Ice-EASY TO CLEAN-Durable-The size is perfect and with its electric base being on top- east storage.-for safety, does not turn on until the lid is on secure-makes phenomenal margaritas-I drink meal supplements everyday and it's so easy to put together and take apart for cleaning that even if I'm running late for an appointment, it's not an issue to clean.-I love juicing and I was sick of having most of the nutrients and fiber get thrown out after it. Now since I bought this blender I have retired my juicing and now just making veggie smoothies with the ninja!Cons:That not all blenders are built like thisI can't believe I wrote this long of a review over a blender. But now in this day in age,we have the beauty of reviewing and buying everything and anything.

OMG! Incredible!
Important to note: My comments are in the context of having been a Vitamix user for over 20 years. We bought the Ninja because we were looking for something to replace our Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus. We were attracted to the Ninja because the reviews said it turned out more consistent results compared to others. We also noted that people warned about how quickly it could turn ingredients from chunks to mush. Both are very true. What we love about the Ninja is that it's super light, and easy to assemble and clean. It's also very quiet compared to other machines. And, the bases are super stable--no traveling across the counter as our Vitamix wants to do sometimes. What's remarkable is how quickly the Ninja breaks down ingredients. We've been going crazy making nut butters, including peanut and pecan butters. That's where the Ninja totally shines in comparison to all other machines (and we've used them all, from the Vitamix and Cuisinart to others!). Quiet, effective, and speedy are the three words to describe the Ninja. We also made raw cranberry relish (raw cranberries, apples, whole oranges, and dates) that the Ninja zipped out in seconds. It's true that the Ninja won't turn out the kind of silky smooth cream soups that the Vitamix will, but if the Vitamix earns an A+ in this use case, the Ninja earns an A-.You also can't beat the price: Less than 10% of the cost for a Vitamix. Do the math. It's a simple equation if you don't absolutely need silky smooth textures. And there's no comparison with the Cuisinart Mini-Prep, which we found to be noisy, OK for salsa and courser chopping, but not great at nut butters. For the easy of use, what it produces, quietness, and price, the Ninja can't be beat.

Great help when having dental work done!
I'm having extensive dental work done, and didn't want to rely on the milk-based liquid meals. I remembered that years ago when I had pain from braces my mom used her blender to pulverize meat for me. I searched and chose this Ninja Blender. It works great! What a relief. I finally feel full, of real food. I've chopped (cooked) chicken, beef, ham, and rice a roni. And although it says not to use it on hard things like uncooked rice, I also made some crackers into crumbs - no problem.I was surprised how quickly it worked - just 5 or 6 quick pulses for up to 2 cups of meat. Less than 10 seconds. And while there might be a very few pieces that escaped the blades, I don't find any "dead" spots, even in the bottom where the sides of the container meet the floor. The rubber edging on the bottom of the cup makes it very secure - no wobble at all.The instructions for assembling could've been more specific, but I figured it out, then it was simple to use. (The splash guard has to be lined up with the bowl at a particular spot.) I don't always wash dishes after each meal, so I looked into getting a second bowl, but when I found it was half the cost of the entire blender (not to mention a second set of blades, and splash guard), I just ordered a second blender set as a back-up and feel it's a good investment. I rinse it after each use, then washing later is no problem.Lastly, it's fairly compact for my tight counter space - I can leave it out without having to work around it.This blender is making my life so much easier, and was less expensive that I expected. I'm saving hours of cutting food into tiny pieces (and avoiding a stiff neck!) I recommend this blender highly.
